20 food products with a lot of protein

That eating food with protein is important you probably know that already. Proteins are the building blocks of your body. They not only help you build muscle mass, but they also help you maintain muscle mass during weight loss. Additionally, protein keeps you feeling full, which means that you will less likely to snack between meals. However, many people find it difficult to eat enough of it.

How much protein do you need?
The opinions about how much proteins you need are keeping the opinions divided. For an average adult who is not sporting, 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight is a frequent advice given. Very active people need more than average, around 1.2 to 1.4 grams per kilogram of body weight. However, to develop muscle mass a little more is needed, 1.5 to 1.8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight is a good target.

Adding more protein food will probably not provide you with extra muscle mass. So the rest of your calories are better used for carbohydrates and healthy fats.
